Higher Ground Society is a budding nonprofit organization with a mission to forge community and mutual understanding using the arts and humanities. Having facilitated small events that worked toward this goal, we have set our sights on growing our programming to engage even more Alabama residents and communities. Donate today to help us pursue this mission by contributing to one of the following aspects of our budget:

• General Operations: these funds cover aspects of Higher Ground Society's day-to-day operations, e.g. website subscriptions, accounting, fees, etc.

• HGS Freedom School: these funds cover components of the HGS's Freedom School program, launched in summer of 2025, e.g. scholar fees, venue rentals, course materials, session food, etc.

• HGS Podcast: these funds provide for the recording and production of the HGS Podcast, e.g. recording materials, editing, distribution, etc.

• patchwork symphony: these funds support the many aspects of HGS's flagship project, the statewide multi-genre album recording project highlighting Alabama's up-and-coming musical artists, e.g. artist fees, studio time, album artwork, etc.

• HGS Pick: HGS will allocate your donation to a program fund according to the program's fundraising needs
